Community Activities Commission Interview Panel

Purpose: To interview applicants for the Montclair Community Activities Commission and make recommendations to the City Council to fill vacancies on the Community Activities Commission. Made up of two Council Members and a third member appointed by the Mayor. Typically meets in May or June of even-numbered years for scheduled vacancies, making its recommendations to the City Council on or before July 1st. Appointees to serve full terms would serve beginning July 1st and serve for four years. The Panel may also convene to interview candidates for unanticipated vacancies to complete unexpired terms.

In accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, agendas are posted online and at the City Hall bulletin board at the north entrance at least 72 hours before regular/adjourned meetings, and 24 hours prior to special meetings.
