Traffic Signal Interconnect & Fiber Optic Communication System

Signal retiming programs have shown travel time and delay reductions of 5 to 20 percent, and in fuel savings of 10 to 15 percent nationwide. The upcoming improvements will reduce the number of accidents between vehicles, pedestrians, and bike riders at various intersections around the City by installing a signal interconnect system.

This upgrade affects the following project sites:

  • Monte Vista Ave.—Mission Blvd. to I-10 Fwy.
  • Holt Blvd.—Ramona Ave. to Benson Ave.
  • Arrow Hwy.—Police Dept. to Central Ave.
  • Central Ave.—Costco Dr. to Arrow Hwy
