Montclair Emergency Directive

SUBJECT: EMERGENCY DIRECTIVE TO IMMEDIATELY SUSPEND ALL OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SWAP MEET EVENTS AT MISSION TIKI DRIVE-IN THEATRE, 10798 RAMONA AVENUE, MONTCLAIR, CA 91763

On Monday, March 16, 2020, the Montclair City Council adopted Resolution No. 20-3263 declaring a local public health emergency in the City of Montclair in relation to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In declaring a local public health emergency, the City Council invoked Section 6.080.060 of Chapter 6.08 of Title 6 of the Montclair Municipal Code providing that the City Manager, as Director of Emergency Services, is empowered to "make and issue rules and regulations on matters reasonably related to the protection of life and property as affected by such emergency."

Montclair Community Garden

Located at 4495 Palo Verde St. (SW corner of Palo Verde St. and Ramona Ave.)

The Montclair Community Garden opened June 20, 2015, as part of the Healthy Montclair Initiative. The Montclair Community Garden has 28 plots for members of the community to rent on an annual basis. If you are interested in renting a plot please fill out the application below and send it to Leticia Gavilanes or turn in to the Montclair Recreation Center Front Desk. If no plots are available, interested applicants will be put on a waiting list. Please join us and be a part of transforming our community one garden at a time!

The Second Saturday Gardening Club meets the second Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. - noon at the Montclair Community Garden to clean the garden. No knowledge or tools required; we will provide instructions, tools and gloves.

Volunteers under the age of 18 are welcome but must have a waiver filled out by a parent/guardian prior to participating. Volunteers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while volunteering. The park does not have a restroom on site so please plan accordingly.
