Senior Information Workshops

Free (unless noted). The City of Montclair Human Services Department hosts various seminars and events. All programs are held in the Senior Center. Please RSVP to attend at (909) 625-9483. Refreshments will be served.

Sunset of Summer Dance

Tuesday, September 11 from 3-6pm

The Senior Center is hosting a dance to say "goodbye" to summer. A tribute to honor the victims of September 11 will also be held. You must RSVP for this event, tickets will be available at the Senior Center. Space is limited. 

 Vision Wellness

Thursday, September 27 from 10-11:30 am 

A representative from West End Family Counseling along with the Braille Institute will be discussing the importance of vision care. Please call the Senior Center to RSVP at 625-9483.

Prepare for the Holidays Skin Care Presentation

Tuesday, October 16 from 2-3:30 pm

Karen Sullivan, a consultant with Mary Kay, will be discussing techniques and the importance of skin care. October is a good month to start preparing your skin to look radiant for those holiday photo shoots. Please call the Senior Center to RSVP at 625-9483, space is limited. Refreshments will be served.

Musical Matinee

Tuesday, October 30 from 2-3 pm

Lori Kester will be performing a variety of songs. Come join us for an afternoon of music and relaxation. Please call the Senior Center to RSVP for this FREE presentation by calling 625-9483. Refreshments will be served.

 Presentation for the Blind 

Wednesday, November 7 from 10-11:30 am 

A representative for the blind will be discussing things you should know as you age and how aging effects your sight. Please call the Senior Center to RSVP for the presentation by calling 625-9483.

Veteran's Day Dance

Thursday, November 8 from 3-6 pm

Live music will be provided with a special salute to our military USA Veteran's. The cost of the event is $5 per person unless you are a United States Veteran there will be no charge for you or your spouse. You must purchase your ticket in advance by Wednesday, October 31; tickets are available at the Montclair Senior Center front desk.

 Alzheimer's Presentation

Tuesday, November 20 10:30-11 am

A representative from Alzheimer's from Alzheimer's Association will be discussing 10 ways to love your brain. Please call the Senior Center at 625-9483 to RSVP for the presentation. 

 Survival Skills 

Thursday, December 6 from 10-11:30 am

A representative from Montclair Fire Department will be discussing what to do in case you are faced with unexpected emergency while driving and in your home. The presentation can save your life, please call 625-9483 to RSVP.

Afternoon at the Movies

Once a month a FREE movie will be shown in the Senior Center at 1 p.m. Popcorn and lemonade will be provided. Candy and nuts will be on sale for $1 each (money raised benefits senior programs).
