Notice of Vacancy – Community Activities Commission

The City of Montclair Invites You to Become Active in Your Community! There are three (3) vacancies on the Community Activities Commission

Commission’s Purpose

To serve as an advisory body to the City Council on matters related to the evaluation of recreational programs and to propose additional City–approved programs designed to meet the cultural and social needs of the residents in the community.

Qualifications

Applicants must be residents of the City of Montclair.

Meetings

Montclair City Council Chambers
5111 Benito Street, Montclair

First Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m., except during the months of July and August, when the CAC is dark.

Length of Term

Three (3) years – Term expires June 30, 2024

Stipend

$50 per meeting attended

Application Period & Procedure

Applications are being accepted in the City Clerk’s Office from Monday, April 5, 2021, until Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. Applications are available at City Hall, 5111 Benito Street, Montclair, can be mailed via request by calling (909) 625–9416 or emailing cityclerk@cityofmontclair.org, or can be completed and submitted online at https://www.cityofmontclair.org/commission-application/.

Applicants will be contacted to schedule interviews with the CAC Interview Panel, which will make its appointment recommendations to the Mayor at a regular meeting of the City Council held on or before July 1, 2021.
