Pursuant to GC § 36933(c)(1), the City must publish a summary of a proposed ordinance or a proposed amendment to an ordinance provided that the summary is posted in the manner specified in GC § 36933(a) at least five (5) days prior to adoption of the proposal and within fifteen (15) days after adoption with the names of the Council Members voting for and against the proposal.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTCLAIR AMENDING THE NORTH MONTCLAIR DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN TO ALLOW MEDICAL USES WITHIN THE STATION DISTRICT LAND USE ZONE (CASE NO. 2025–06)
Summary
The proposed amendment to the NMDSP was requested by the developer of the Village at Montclair, a mixed-use project being built north of the intersection of Arrow Highway and Fremont Avenue in the Station District (SD) zone. The developer would like to lease space to a dental practice, which is currently not permitted within the SD of the NMDSP. If approved, this change would revise Table 5-2 within Chapter 5 of the Montclair Municipal Code to permit “Medical Services – Doctor/Dentist Office” within the SD zone.
