The Montclair City Council is saddened to announce that Council Member Emeritus Leonard Paulitz passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Pomona Valley Hospital in the company of his six children, and in the thoughts and prayers of innumerable friends.  Leonard, who was preceded in death by the passing of his wife Constance, was 94 years of age.

Mail Ballot Voting

Mail ballots will be mailed to all eligible voters, no application is necessary.

Voters may return their voted mail ballot:

  • By mail via the U.S. Postal Service (no postage required, post-mark by September 14, 2021 required) or
  • At a drop-off location (any early voting site, polling place, or secure mail ballot drop-box) no later than 8:00 p.m. on September 14, 2021.

Mail Ballot Drop Boxes

Mail ballot drop boxes are located throughout San Bernardino County. Montclair currently hosts two secure drop boxes:

  • The north parking lot of Montclair City Hall at 5111 Benito Street.
  • The Montclair Police Department facility parking lot at 4870 Arrow Highway.

Replacement Mail Ballot

Request a replacement ballot by calling the Registrar of Voters at (909) 387-8300.

In-Person Voting

If you prefer the tradition of voting in person, you may choose to vote early at an Early Vote Site, or on Election Day at your assigned polling place.

Early Vote Sites

The Registrar of Voters' Office accepts ballots beginning Monday, August 16. San Bernardino County’s early voting locations will be open this year from Tuesday, September 7 through Monday, September 13.

On Election Day, you will need to vote in-person at your polling place or at the Registrar of Voters' Office.
