General Election Information

Find your In-Person Polling Place

If you prefer the tradition of voting in person, you may choose to vote early at a vote center or at your assigned polling place. The County’s 210 voting locations will be open this year from Saturday, October 31 through Tuesday, November 3.

You can use the County’s polling place search tool or look on the back of your Voter Information Guide to find your assigned polling place.

Creating a safe environment for voters and poll workers is a high priority. Poll workers will be provided with face masks, face shields, gloves, hand sanitizer, and cleaning supplies. High-touch surfaces will be cleaned throughout the day. Voters who arrive without a face mask will be offered one.

Mail Ballot Drop-Box Locations

All San Bernardino County voters now have the option to drop off their mail-in ballot inside a secure mail ballot drop box.  The drop boxes are located throughout the County at various public buildings such as City Halls, Police Departments, and libraries.  County residents may drop their ballot at any San Bernardino County drop box.  Ballots inside the boxes are secure and are picked up by County officials periodically throughout the election period, and throughout the day on Election Day through the close of the polls at 8:00 p.m.

How and Where Do I Register to Vote?

To register to vote you must obtain and complete a voter registration form or register online.

Voter registration forms can be obtained by picking up a voter registration card at Montclair City Hall or the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters at 777 East Rialto Avenue, San Bernardino, California, or by calling (909) 387-8300 to request a registration form be mailed to you.

You may also register online by visiting the Secretary of State's Voter Registration website.

If you do not know your voter registration status, click here to find out how to check based on the County that you would need to be registered with.  Make sure you update your registration by re-registering every time you move or change your name.

Update your Address

San Bernardino County voters may now use a simple Change of Address Form to update a residential or mailing addresses so long as the voter still resides in San Bernardino County.  Voters may submit a photo or scanned image of the completed form by fax at (909) 387-2022 or by email to Alternatively, the completed form may be returned by mail or in person to the Registrar of Voters.

Important notes:

  • The Change of Address Form may not be used to register to vote, change a name, change a political party preference, change a residential address from one county to another, or request a mail ballot.
  • This form must include the voter's signature. An electronic signature cannot be accepted at this time.
