Replacement of Black Trash, Green Greenwaste, or Blue Recycling Containers

Damaged trash, greenwaste, and recycling containers are replaced free of charge and are normally replaced within 48 hours.  Please contact Customer Service at (909) 625-9472 for this service.

Extra Black Trash, Green Greenwaste, or Blue Recycling Containers

Additional containers may be requested for an additional cost of $6.56 per month for a black trash container, $4.17 per month for a green greenwaste container, and $1.48 per month for a blue recycling container.  Extra containers must be kept a minimum of six months.

Uncollected Trash

For uncollected trash please contact Customer Service at (909) 625-9472.  Our Burrtec supervisor will then be contacted to resolve the issue.

Bins/Dumpsters

Requests for bins/dumpsters must be made directly through Burrtec at (909) 620-1353.  Please contact Burrtec for sizes and pricing.

Bulky Item Pickup Program

Each household in the City of Montclair is allowed four complimentary opportunities each calendar year to schedule curbside pickup of up to five bulky items per collection.  This program is not intended for general trash collection.

How the Program Works

When a household has one to five large bulky items for disposal including, but not limited to, kitchen appliances and furniture, simply call Burrtec Waste Industries at (909) 620-1353 to schedule one of four free, annual bulky item collections.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW - e.g., paint), Universal Waste (U-Waste - e.g., batteries), and Electronic Waste (E-Waste - e.g., computers and televisions) will not be accepted.  Please see the Trash and Sewer category in the FAQ section of this website for information on disposing of these items.
