Separating Your Trash

Each resident is provided a 95-gallon black container for trash, a 96-gallon green container for greenwaste, and a 60-gallon blue container for recyclables.

Please do not put hot ashes, hot cinders, smoldering coals, or burning materials in the container.

Listed below are the items that can and cannot be placed in each container.

 

95-gallon (or 65-gallon) black trash container

All trash must fit inside of the container.  It is acceptable to place trash in plastic trash bags before placing them in your trash container.  However, extra bags, boxes or cans of trash left at the curb will not be accepted.

The following items can be placed in your black trash container:

 

 Food waste  Palm fronds and trimmings  Clothing
 Animal waste  Cactus or succulents  Plastic bags
 Kitty litter  Disposable diapers  Soiled paper products

 

The following items cannot be placed in your black trash container:

 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)  Dead animals  Electronic Waste (E-Waste)
 Dirt, rock, or concrete  Greenwaste  Universal Waste (U-Waste)

 

60-gallon blue recycling container

All recycling must fit inside of the container.  Extra bags, boxes or cans of recycling left at the curb will not be accepted.

Food containers do not need to be rinsed out before placing them in your recycling container.  If there is a good amount of food left in the container the majority of it should be disposed of before placing it in your recycling container.

The following items cannot be placed in your blue recycling container.  These items are considered Trash, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), Electronic Waste (E-Waste) or Universal Waste (U-Waste).

The following items can be placed in your greenwaste container:
