Streetlights

Streetlights are provided throughout most of the City.  The streetlights are generally put in by developers as a condition of their development, or by the City as part of its road building or widening activities.  The lighting system is owned and maintained by Southern California Edison.

In some areas the lights are suspended from wood power poles.  In newer developments within the City, free standing concrete poles with underground service are provided.  Regardless of the type, service is provided by Southern California Edison.  If you wish to report a need for a new streetlight, please contact the Engineering Department at (909) 625-9478 with your request.  If you wish to report a streetlight that is not working properly, please contact Southern California Edison directly at (800) 655-4555 or report the outage online.

When you are contacting Southern California Edison, please be prepared to give them a location of the streetlight.
