Tree Maintenance

West Coast Arborists and the City entered into a partnership for its tree maintenance services over four years ago.Together, a pro-active tree maintenance strategy was implemented.Systematic tree maintenance helps reduce long term expenses of the City’s ‘Urban Forest’ while maintaining the financial value of one of the City’s most valuable assets:TREES!

The City’s ‘Urban Forest’ is divided into five sections, with one section being inspected and trimmed each year.Trees are pruned to remove broken or loose branches, clear trees of sprout and sucker growth and to obtain an overall aesthetically pleasing appearance.

In recognition of these efforts, the National Arbor Day Association has named Montclair a ‘Tree City USA’ for the seventh straight year.

If the City tree in front of your residence is in need of attention, please complete the Tree Division Service Request form or contact the Public Works Operations Division Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at (909) 625-9465.
