Military Banner Program

Sponsored by the City of Montclair’s Community Activities Commission, the Military Banner Program provides complimentary banners for individuals currently serving in our armed forces. To be eligible, members of the armed forces must be a resident of Montclair or have graduated from Montclair High School. Applications for new banners are accepted every September 1 – Veteran’s Day, with new banners hung every February. Banners of those no longer in active duty are presented to the veteran and their family at a City Council meeting in January.

Handy Helper

Handy Helper is a program for senior citizens, and it needs your help. Our Handy Helper program assists Montclair senior citizens in areas such as transportation, general household repair, housecleaning, yard work, painting, plumbing, and general maintenance. If you are interested in volunteering or you need help, call 625-9483.

Montclair Skate Park

Address: 5201 Benito Street, adjacent to the Youth Center
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. unless posted otherwise.

The Skate Park is currently open during its normal hours but may be closed intermittently due to violations by park users. Helmet and elbow/knee pads required.

Montclair Splash Pad

Address: 5201 Benito Street, Alma Hofman Park

Under Executive Order from Governor Newsom, Policy Directive of the State Department of Public Health, and order of the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, the Splash Pad will be temporarily closed to the public until further notice. The safety of our community is our upmost priority and hope you understand with the situation of COVID-19.

Food Distribution for Qualified Low Income Montclair Residents

The next food distribution will go back to a walk-up event starting on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Montclair Community Center from 8:30am-9:30am.

  • All participants are responsible for picking-up their food in the Community Center and taking it to their car. (Participants may bring a cart or wagon to help carry the commodities to their vehicle).
  • Food will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis or while supplies last.
  • Please park in the Montclair Civic Center parking lots.
  • Due to COVID-19 and for your safety, we require all participants to wear a face mask while in City buildings.

This program is coordinated with the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County. To qualify you must bring a valid ID and live in San Bernardino County. Commodities to be given may include canned meat, canned vegetables, flour, corn meal, pudding, sauces, pasta, juices, and frozen items. The commodities change from month to month. Call (909) 625-9456 for information on qualifying income guidelines, confirmation of dates and food items.. Please refer to The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) 2020 Income Guidelines to determine if you qualify.
